Roszheldorproekt is the 2025 design leader
Roszheldorproekt (part of Natsproektstroy) is the winner of the 2025 National Design Leaders Award. The construction project for bypassing the Shkotovo – Smolyaninovo section of the Far Eastern Highway was recognized as the best in the Linear Infrastructure Facility category.

Roszheldorproekt (part of Natsproektstroy) is the winner of the 2025 National Design Leaders Award. The construction project for bypassing the Shkotovo – Smolyaninovo section of the Far Eastern Highway was recognized as the best in the Linear Infrastructure Facility category.
During the design, the engineers created a 3D model of the terrain and the roadbed. UAVs were used during geodetic survey.
The designed bypass includes 16.2 km of railway tracks, two bridges and two single-track tunnels with a length of 1.4 km each. The work was done in challenging geological conditions: there was a functioning highway nearby, mountainous terrain, clay soil saturated with water.
The bypass eliminated the 'barrier spots' and made it possible to abandon the use of pusher locomotives. This increased the efficiency of freight transportation and line capacity.
The Design Leaders Award is held with the support of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Utility Services of the Russian Federation and the National Association of Surveyors and Designers (NOPRIZ).
