Natsproektstroy and Russian Railways Launch Large-Scale Production of Girders for Bridges and Overpasses Spans at the Selinskoye Site
In the Moscow Region, at the Selinskoye site, Natsproektstroy and Russian Railways have launched large-scale production of girders for the bridge and overpass spans of the first Moscow – St. Petersburg High-Speed Railway (HSR).

For the first HSR line, the Selinskoye site will produce 488 box reinforced concrete girders of two types: 32.6 m and 24.6 m in length. The weight of the largest girders reaches 700 tonnes — ten times more than those used in road bridge construction. Such bridge components have never been used in Russia before.
The area of the Selinskoye site is 21 hectares. The site is equipped with an automated rebar shop, inert materials storage facilities, a concrete plant, eight workstations for rebar cage assembly, 16 casting beds, and finished product storage areas. A 900-tonne gantry crane was required to move the girders around the site. Its assembly took over a month.
Taking Selinskoye into account, our company is setting up a total of 10 bridge girder production sites for the HSR project across the Moscow, Tver, Novgorod, and Leningrad regions. These facilities will be located in the vicinity of the construction sites, optimizing logistics and reducing erection costs, as the girders are not suitable for transportation via the public road network due to their heavy weight.
