At the construction site of Moscow–St. Petersburg High-Speed Railway In Tver Region, Natsproektstroy companies are installing riverbed supports for a bridge over Shosha River, which will become one of the largest railway structures.
The length of the bridge, including the approaches, is more than 8.2 km, and it will stand on 250 pillars. Four supports must be erected in the riverbed, drilling piles are immersed on two of them, and pile sheeting of foundation pits is installed on two more.
Two working bridges were installed to access waters of the construction site from both banks. These temporary structures do not close over the river, so as not to interfere with navigation.
In addition, Natsproektstroy companies are preparing pile footings and pile caps in the floodplain of Shosha River, work is underway on 186 pillars. 469 people and 61 pieces of equipment are involved in the construction of the bridge.
