Train traffic at Obukhovo Station of the Oktyabrskaya Railway will be controlled by the digital automation system designed and manufactured by Natsproektstroy.

The station has been equipped with MPC-EL-20 computer-based interlocking system, a convenient tool for all types of rail transport. It can be used to control point switches and colour light signals, create routes, monitor the condition of equipment, and optimize traffic schedules. The system significantly increases the capacity of busy main lines, reliability and safety of transportation.
The interlocking system includes 33 point switches and 53 LED optical colour light signals, and UPS units for reliable power supply. To monitor the rolling stock, a track circuit monitoring system has been implemented to determine whether track sections are occupied or not.
MPC-EL-20 computer-based interlocking system is based on a secure 2.0 platform for automation of any industry. This is the first digital solution based entirely on domestic components and software. The design is of the fourth, highest level of industrial safety, which practically rules out any failure.
