290 thousand cubic meters of crushed stone of various fractions were supplied by Kuryan Plant of Bamstroymechanizatsiya (part of Natsproektstroy) in 9 months of 2025. Materials are used to repair Tynda streets, Lena Federal Highway, to build a bridge over the Lena River, to upgrade thermal power plants in Neryungri and BAM facilities.
It took more than 20 thousand cubic meters of crushed stone of various fractions to repair roads in the capital of BAM. Builders use a gravel-sand mixture for the leveling layer and a fraction from 4 to 32 mm directly for asphalt.
Crushed stone fractions of 26-50 mm are used for ballasting the superstructure of BAM track, this year the plant has already supplied 80 thousand cubic meters. Large stones from 20 to 50 centimeters in diameter are used for cooling rip-rap, which preserves the permafrost in the fill base.
A specific feature of crushed stone from Kuryan is its highest frost resistance. It will remain durable for about 200 years in conditions of sudden temperature changes and severe frosts. Aggregates from the unique deposit are in demand at many large construction sites.
