On the second day of the International Road 2025 Expo in Mineralnye Vody, participants addressed the challenge of securing a skilled workforce for infrastructure projects. The insights shared by Natsproektstroy representatives garnered significant interest from both industry peers and future professionals.
Lyubov Veres, Head of Personnel Training and Development at NPS Transstroymekhanizatsiya, spoke at a roundtable on organizing practical hands-on training for students of the RUT Academy of Road Management (MIIT). She shared TSM's approach to practical training and outlined career paths for young specialists. The students asked numerous questions, with a particular focus on the working conditions at the company's construction sites.
Nadezhda Gunina, Deputy Project Manager of NPS Roads and Bridges, spoke at a strategic session titled "Career Track: A Specialist's Development Path in Road Management Companies" about the company's established practices. She explained that students start working as technicians on Roads and Bridges construction sites from their third year of university, gaining hands-on experience and defining their career preferences. "It's only by fully immersing oneself in the profession that a young specialist can discover their true calling—whether it's in construction, facility operation, or a design institute," Gunina noted.
Natalia Breus, CEO of MStroy, shared her personal career growth story within Mostostroy-11 (both companies are part of NPS). She highlighted the "Rotation" program offered to young professionals, which gives them the opportunity to work in 9 different departments for two weeks each, allowing them to test out different future roles. Breus emphasized that collaboration between construction practitioners and university teachers enhances the quality of education by providing them with cutting-edge industry expertise. In addition, the state-of-the-art digital solutions employed by Mostostroy-11 also resonate strongly with the younger generation.
