NPS begins construction of the pedestrian bridge in Mnevniki
Natsproektstroy has begun the construction of a pedestrian-and-cycle bridge across the Moskva River in the section of Ostrovnaya Street. It will connect the districts of Krylatskoye and Khoroshevo-Mnevniki.

Natsproektstroy has begun the construction of a pedestrian-and-cycle bridge across the Moskva River in the section of Ostrovnaya Street. It will connect the districts of Krylatskoye and Khoroshevo-Mnevniki.
Builders of Mostootryad-114 Branch of Roads and Bridges JSC are clearing the site, building temporary access roads and pile sheeting on the river side, and stockpiling the necessary materials. Work is underway on two banks – the first bored piles of the pillars of the future structure are being driven. There are currently 35 workers and 8 pieces of construction machinery at the site.
"This is the third bridge that we have been building in the Mnevniki floodplain over the past four years. Each has its own unique design, own character, and we take an individual approach to each one in terms of technology. The new bridges will not only be convenient crossings, but will also become architectural landmarks of the city," said Mikhail Grigoriev, CEO of Natsproektstroy Roads and Bridges.
The pedestrian bridge with 222 m main span will have a combined design. A superstructure will be suspended under the 'splitting' support arches. The axial plane of the arches will deviate from the vertical by 25 degrees. The total length of the structure with approaches will be about 500 m.
The contracted work is expected to be completed in 2027. Access roads will be built to the structure from the Mnevniki floodplain, and the site will be landscaped.
