NPS has begun to pre-assemble the steel structures of the pedestrian-and-cycle bridge in Fili
Farhat Khasanov, CEO of Roads and Bridges of Natsproektstroy, reported to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin on the progress of construction of a pedestrian-and-cycle bridge across the Moskva River in Mnevniki Floodplain and Fili Park.

The pre-assembly of the steel superstructure has begun. According to Farhat Khasanov, 440 out of 1,330 tons have already been completed. The superstructure is scheduled to be installed in September followed by cable tensioning.
Builders are completing bridge pillars. Two pillars are ready with a pile footing being installed for two more. Of the 86 bored piles, 62 have already been concreted.
The mayor of the capital also inspected a temporary working bridge, through which construction machinery and materials are transported from the left to the right bank of the Moskva River. The working bridge allowed the machinery to bypass Fili Park. 75 people and 13 pieces of machinery are currently involved in the work.
The 200 m long bridge (with 424 m approaches) will stand on 4 pillars. The central span with a length of 126 m and a navigation channel of 10.5 m will be suspended under an arch on cables.
The bridge will provide a pedestrian-and-cycle connection between Mnevniki Floodplain and Fili Park, and in the future, together with the Island Bridge, it will become an element of Fili Park – Mnevniki - Krylatskoye route.
