According to Alexander Beglov, the Governor of St. Petersburg, new drawbridges are the most important driver of urban development: "This bridge will combine practical necessity and importance for the economic growth of St. Petersburg agglomeration."

Alexey Krapivin, CEO of NPS, noted that "the experience of building the Bolshoy Smolensky Bridge is one of the decisive factors for the success of the new project. And of course, we honor the traditions of generations of bridge builders in St. Petersburg, who have created a wonderful collection of artificial structures. It is an honor and a matter of professional pride for us to add another drawbridge to it."

Anton Novikov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Latitudinal Highway of the Northern Capital, CEO of VTB Infrastructure Group, said that the bridge across the Neva River is the most technologically challenging stage in the implementation of the Latitudinal High-Speed Highway, and expressed confidence that "joint efforts will create a unique infrastructure facility matching the status of the cultural capital."

The bridge of the Latitudinal High-Speed Highway in the section of Faiansovaya and Zolnaya Streets will be 462.9 meters long, and 777.3 meters with the approaches. It will stand on 11 pillars, including 6 riverbed ones. The draw span bascule is 60.1 meters long. The bridge was designed for the current height restrictions due to the nearby cultural heritage site — the Finnish Railway Bridge.
