A double-track train service has opened in the Khabarovsk Territory on the Kychyranky – Chebangda section of Baikal–Amur Mainline. During the upgrade of the section, Bamstroymechanizatsiya (part of Natsproektstroy) built 13 km of siding tracks here.
Machine operators processed more than 400 thousand cubic meters of soil to build a subgrade for a new track. The special feature of the section is the multitude of man-made structures. Our builders erected 6 bridges across the tributaries of the Bureya River, extended and replaced 7 culverts. All of them are designed for a sharp rise in the water level during floods.
Signaling and interlocking, communications and power supply systems have been upgraded on the section. More than 200 km of cables have been laid for new systems. Considering heavy snowfalls on Baikal–Amur Mainline, point switches have been equipped with an air blowing system.
Traffic in the section can be controlled now using a computer. The computer-based interlocking system designed and manufactured by Natsproektstroy companies allows you to monitor all the parameters of the adjacent stations and tracks connecting them.
The integrated development of the Febralsk – Novy Urgal line, on which the Kychyranky – Chebangda section is located, will increase the capacity from 26 to 53 million tons of cargo per year.
