In Khabarovsk Krai, Bamstroymekhanizatsiya (part of GC NPS, JSC) expanded the approach to the Dusse-Alin tunnel on the Novy Urgal - Komsomolsk-on-Amur line. Here, traffic has already opened on the 9.3 kilometer-long double-track Soloni-Naldy crossing.
Mechanizers processed more than 480 thousand cubic meters of soil for the second track. The railroad runs in the cliffs of the Bureinsky Ridge. To protect the track from rockfall on the slopes, a metal mesh of 9 thousand m2 was installed.
At the intersection with the Soloni River tributaries 3 bridges were built and 11 culverts were reconstructed.
Signalling, communication and power supply devices were modernized at the station.
The traffic at Soloni station will be controlled by a microprocessor-based centralization system MPTS-EL developed and manufactured by GC NPS, JSC companies, which allows to remotely adjust switches and traffic lights, set train routes. The system is adapted to frost. Built-in cyber protection excludes unauthorized access to digital equipment.
After the opening of the second track Soloni-Naldy, the Naldy switch was closed, and trains now run on the combined double-track Soloni-Dusse-Alin crossing, which is 19 kilometers long.
The comprehensive development of the Novy Urgal - Komsomolsk-on-Amur line will increase the carrying capacity of the eastern section of BAM from 24 to 49 million tons of cargo per year.
