In Yakutia, NPS companies have expanded and digitalized Nagornaya-Yakutskaya–Amur-Yakutsk Railway section on the Tynda–Neryungri line. Double-track train service was opened on this section the day before.
16 kilometers of siding tracks were built on the section. To do this, the machine operators of Bamstroymekhanizatsiya (part of NPS) processed more than 960 thousand cubic meters of soil: they reamed rock excavations and embankments, rip-rapped the slopes to maintain sub-zero temperatures at the road base all year round.
The builders worked in challenging conditions: the section runs through the Stanovoi Range and permafrost zone, crosses many rivers and streams. 11 bridges were built water barriers, including a 100-meter bridge over Timpton River, and 8 culverts were extended.
Communication and power supply equipment has been upgraded on the section: more than 380 metal supports have been installed for high-voltage lines, and more than 100 kilometers of cable have been laid. 21 modules have been installed for new equipment and warm-up points for railway workers.
The section is equipped with MPC-EL computer-based interlocking system designed and manufactured by NPS companies. The system can remotely control point switches and traffic lights, set train routes.
The development of Tynda–Neryungri line will increase the railway capacity towards South Yakutia to 28 million tons of cargo per year.
