In 2021, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin inaugurated MCD-1 (Odintsovo-Lobnya) and MCD-2 (Nakhabino-Podolsk). By 2023, two additional lines entered service: MCD-3 (Zelenograd-Ramenskoye) and MCD-4 (Aprelevka-Zheleznodorozhny).
Despite tight schedules and complex urban constraints, GC NPS completed the project in record time.
The project involved the construction and modernization of 63 stations, including major transport hubs like Zelenograd-Kryukovo, Moscow-City, and Three Stations Square.
24 stations are now equipped with domestically developed digital train control systems, improving operational efficiency. The project incorporates unique engineering solutions, including Russia’s largest railway overpass, which spans 2 kilometers.
The network continues to grow. In 2024, GC NPS completed Mitkovo Station on MCD-3, and construction is underway at Tsaritsyno, Begovaya, Petrovsko-Razumovskaya, and Zheleznodorozhnaya stations. Each new MCD facility optimizes routes, improves transfers, and reduces travel times for millions of passengers.
