The Artyom TPP-2 construction project in Primorsky Krai is being implemented as part of the state programme for the development of thermal power generation in the Far East, taking into account the prospective development of the region.

The plant will use state-of-the-art combined cycle gas turbine technology to generate electricity. TPP equipment will include two power units, each of which includes a gas turbine, a steam turbine unit and a heat recovery steam generator. Three hot-water boilers will be installed to supply heat to the city of Artyom with a population of more than 100,000 people.

In September 2023, the construction of Artyom TPP-2 was launched at the Eastern Economic Forum: the first cubic metre of concrete was laid by the builders of Natsproektstroy Group in the TPP foundation. Specialists from TEK Mosenergo, Trest Gidromontazh, EnergoSK and Ennova (part of NPS Group) perform turnkey construction, heat-mechanical and electrical installation.
