Builders of Natsproektstroy have completed the assembly of two gas turbines in the main building of Yuzhno-Yakutsk TPP of OGK-2 PJSC (part of Gazprom Energoholding Group).

"After assembly, the specialists of TEK Mosenergo (part of NPS Group) will begin the hydraulic tests of heat-recovery steam generators, as well as vibration, thermal and functional tests of the gas turbine to verify compliance with technical requirements," said Sergey Sorokin, CEO of TEK Mosenergo.

Construction and installation are continuing at an active pace at the site of Yuzhno-Yakutsk TPP. Two flue stacks of heat-recovery steam generators are 98% assembled. The heat-recovery steam generators are 95% assembled, and the installation of auxiliary boiler equipment with piping is being completed.

The plant will be supplied with service water from ten artesian wells, which are drilled with pneumatic percussion equipment. 5 wells have been drilled to date, their depth is 150 m.
Cell and bus portals, disconnectors, as well as the following types of transformers are installed on 220 kV outdoor switchgear site: current, voltage, auxiliary transformers, and a backup auxiliary transformer. More than 51 of 84.4 thousand km of cabling have been laid.

Specialists from EnergoSK (part of Natsproektstroy) have installed more than 218.3 km of cabling, which is more than 25% of the total scope of this work.

The main construction period of the combined cycle power plant near the village of Chulman began in June 2024. Gas turbines were delivered to the construction site in December 2025. The design capacity of the power plant is 330 MW. TPP will run on natural gas supplied via the Power of Siberia Gas Pipeline.

"The completion of the assembly of gas turbines at Yuzhno-Yakutsk TPP site is a strategically important stage of our project, in fact, the transition from a large-scale construction cycle to an active testing phase. For the plant's staff and contractors, this is a confirmation that we are meeting our obligations and proceeding in strict accordance with the schedule. The installation of such complex high-tech equipment in the climatic conditions of South Yakutia is a task requiring the highest competence, discipline and coherence, which the team is successfully coping with today," said Alexey Doronin, Development Director of OGK-2 PJSC.

The project customer is Chulman TPP LLC, the general contractor is TEK Mosenergo JSC (part of Natsproektstroy), the project monitor is GEH Engineering LLC.
