Student Construction Teams from 22 Russian Regions Join Natsproektstroy on the First Moscow – St. Petersburg HSR Sites
Student construction teams from 22 regions of the country are working on the construction of the Russia's first Moscow – St. Petersburg High-Speed Railway. Their work is supervised by the Natsproektstroy mentors.

Hundreds of university and college students arrived at the HSR sites from Irkutsk, Sverdlovsk, Voronezh, Arkhangelsk, Volgograd, Tver, Leningrad, Kurgan, Tyumen, Novosibirsk, Samara, Kuzbass, Moscow, Rostov, Omsk, and Kaliningrad regions, and from Krasnoyarsk, Krasnodar, and Altai Krais, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug – Yugra, the Republic of Karelia, and the Republic of Tatarstan.
At the HSR construction sites, young people are being trained as road workers, rebar fitters, concrete workers, and installers. For future engineers, participation in the HSR project is a chance to learn advanced construction technologies in real life. For example, at the Selinskoye site in the Moscow Region, students are taking part in the production of 700‑tonne concrete girders for HSR bridge spans — structures that never been used in our country.
"We see high-potential staff in the student teams, who are already gaining insight into work on major infrastructure projects under the guidance of our best specialists. It is important for us to keep young people interested in the profession and create conditions for their further development," said Tatyana Gorlovskaya, Deputy CEO for Human Resources at Natsproektstroy.
"Russian student teams always work on strategically important facilities in our country. And the Moscow – St. Petersburg High-Speed Railway is no exception: for us, this is one of the key construction projects of the year. This is an important project for the movement: students will gain unique experience on a federal‑scale facility, will be able to apply their professional skills, and contribute to building the infrastructure of the future," said Yaroslav Zubashchenko, Head (Commander) of the Central Headquarters of the Russian Student Teams.
Natsproektstroy systematically engages young people in key infrastructure projects in the country. In recent years alone, student groups have participated in the construction of the second tracks of Baikal-Amur Mainline, the construction of a bridge over the Ob River and Artyom TPP-2. In June 2026, Natsproektstroy, Russian Railways, and the Russian Student Teams signed a memorandum of cooperation. The document provides for cooperation on professional training of students in high-demand jobs, organization of safe working conditions, and the formation of a talent pool for Natsproektstroy companies from the persons most distinguished during the construction activities.
