NPS Completes Installation of Bridge Span Structure in Dmitrov
On the road bridge across the Moskva Canal in Dmitrov, NPS personnel have completed the installation of the 1,412-tonne steel span structure.

According to Farhat Khasanov, CEO of Dorogi i Mosty (a Natsproektstroy subsidiary): "Today we installed the central section, thus closing the span. The steel structures were supplied by Voronezhstalmost, the design institute for this project is Giprostroymost St. Petersburg, and the construction is being carried out by Mostootryad-90."
The length of the structure is 211 м, with a main span of 126 m. Earlier, builders erected four reinforced concrete supports rested on 238 bored piles.
The structure is 67% complete by now. The work is being performed by the Dorogi i Mosty branch Mostootryad‑90, currently with 96 workers and 15 construction vehicles currently on site.
The new bridge will replace an old unsafe structure built in the 1940s. Traffic on the old bridge is currently closed for safety reasons, with a detour in place. After the new bridge opens, the old one will be dismantled.
