Alexey Krapivin, CEO of NPS Group, Marat Khusnullin, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation (via video conference), Andrey Nikitin, Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, Anatoly Seryshev, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Russia in the Siberian Federal District, and Vitaly Khotsenko, Governor of the Omsk Region, launched the construction of Omsk Northern Bypass.
In the presence of the honored guests, the specialists of Natsproektstroy Mostostroy-11 drove the first pile, which began the implementation of a large-scale project.
"As instructed by the President, we continue to develop city bypasses. I would like to say that the new transport artery will significantly change the logistics of the entire Siberian Federal District. Omsk Bypass will become part of a large Russia route with access to China, Mongolia and North Korea. This will give another impetus to the development of the eastern direction and strengthen the country's potential," said Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.
"Natsproektstroy is able to perform the most important tasks in infrastructure construction. NPS specialists have all the necessary expertise and extensive experience. The company has state-of-the-art equipment. We are ready to implement the Omsk Bypass Project in full, with high quality and precisely on time. We thank our esteemed customers for their trust," said Alexey Krapivin, CEO of NPS Group.
The northern bypass of Omsk is a four-lane road with a length of about 70 km, which has a speed limit of 120 km/h. It will connect two federal highways and become part of M-12 (Vostok) road (Moscow – Tyumen) and a promising route from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok with access to China and Mongolia.
The builders will have to build two bridges. The bridge over the Irtysh River more than 1,200 m long will cross two branches of the river, the length of the navigable span will be 130 meters. The bridge over Om will be 176 m long. The bypass will also have 19 overpasses, five transport interchanges, and recreation areas.
The project will be implemented on the basis of a public-private partnership, in the form of a concession. The road construction contract between NPS and Gazprombank was signed at SPIEF-2025.
Roads and Bridges JSC, Contractor of Mostostroy-11 (part of Natsproektstroy Group) is the general construction contractor.
