On April 27, Natsproektstroy Roads and Bridges JSC and the Ministry of Road Management and Transport of the Yaroslavl Region signed a contract for the renovation of Moskovsky Prospekt by building transport interchanges and a bridge over the Volga River as part of a bypass of downtown Yaroslavl (Stage IV. Part 2).
The contract includes the construction of a new bridge across the Volga River. An artificial structure with a length of 800 m (with approaches of more than 3 km) will connect Frunzensky and Zavolzhsky Districts of Yaroslavl. The third bridge in the city will relieve the historical downtown of transit traffic.
A 2025 contract for the construction of right-bank approaches to the bridge is currently in effect. The general contractor under it is NPS Transstroymechanizatsiya, the work is performed by Mostootryad-6 Branch of Roads and Bridges JSC. Specialists are building the foundations of overpass supports, driving drill piles, and concreting pile caps.
The construction of the bridge is funded under the Infrastructure for Life National Project from the federal budget. Work under the new contract is scheduled to begin this year, with completion scheduled for 2030.
