What developments have been created by GC NPS, JSC specifically for the HSL project, Alexey Krapivin, head of the holding company, told at the SPIEF session “High-speed traffic - growth points of the future economy”.
"The Moscow-St. Petersburg High-Speed Railway is the first ballastless high-speed railroad in Russia. Reinforced concrete slabs with integrated rail will lie on top of the earth bed and overpasses along the entire highway. We have taken into account the world experience and over the last two years we have invested about 1 billion rubles in the creation of this technology. Today we can proudly say that the ballastless slab for the Russian 1520 gauge, which meets all international requirements, is a completely Russian development that will be localized in our country," said Alexey Krapivin.
About 70% of the Moscow-St. Petersburg High-Speed Railway will be built on the earth bed, about 30% of the route - overpasses. In total - about 180 kilometers of artificial structures, which is a very large volume for one object. For their construction, GC NPS, JSC will engage bridge crews from all over Russia.
The spans of bridges and overpasses will require special girders, each weighing 700 tons. It is impossible to deliver them by road. The girders will be produced right along the highway, for this purpose the GC NPS, JSC will equip more than a dozen polygons. It is planned to open production at all sites as early as next May.
