OSK 1520 personnel (part of Natsproektstroy) have completed the northern entrance hall and a concourse bridge at the railway station in Saratov. Today, the new passenger infrastructure was inspected by Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma of Russia, and Oleg Belozerov, Head of Russian Railways.
The new 644 m² entrance hall is located on the side of the bus station; before the pavilion opened, passengers could only reach the trains from the station forecourt. The facility includes a screening point and a covered pedestrian concourse bridge with stairways down to platforms No. 2 and No. 3. Six escalators and three lifts have been provided for passenger convenience.
These works is part of a large‑scale reconstruction of Saratov's main railway gateway, carried out by Natsproektstroy companies. Reinforcement of the station building's walls and columns has now been completed. A temporary pavilion was erected to handle passengers during the construction period.
The station reconstruction project was developed by Chelyabzheldorproekt (a branch of Roszheldorproekt, part of Natsproektstroy). The facility will span 11,000 m², and the new passenger infrastructure will conform to modern standards, making travel more comfortable for all passengers, including those with limited mobility.
