Main Step-Down Substation 1 (MSDS-1) in the Leningrad Region, which was built by Natsproektstroy companies, has been tested for operability and put into operation.
MSDS-1 equipment includes 110 kV gas-insulated switchgear, 110/10 kV power transformers, 10 kV indoor switchgear, busbars, current-limiting coils, arc-suppressing coils, etc. The substation provides power supply to the country's largest gas chemical complex.
After completion of the construction and installation and authorization from Rostechnadzor, the power engineers of TEK Mosenergo (part of Natsproektstroy) conducted individual equipment tests and performance tests of individual process systems. The insulation of substation units and components has been tested under operating voltage. Lenenergo operating organizations conducted integrated testing of electrical equipment.
It should be recalled that the companies of Natsproektstroy have designed, supplied process equipment and erected offsite facilities of the country's largest gas chemical project. TEK Mosenergo (part of Natsproektstroy) has completed the design and supplied equipment for the construction of two Main Step-Down Substations and 110 kV cable lines. Engineers of Teploelectroproekt Institute (part of NPS Group) are completing the design of a boiler house that will supply ultra-high steam to pyrolysis ovens, including emergency conditions. The thermal power plant will also generate heat and electricity to meet the complex's own needs.
