The specialists of Natsproektstroy started assembling the slipway for the installation of the overpass superstructure through the Yaroslavl railway track of the Moscow Railway in the section of Dudinka and Menzhinsky Streets. The facility is being built by Roads and Bridges JSC.
The horseshoe-shaped overpass will connect Khibiny and Anadyr passages. It will be 364 m long (560 m with approach ways). The structure will pass over 36 railway tracks at Losinoostrovskaya Station.
"The builders of Roads and Bridges JSC will also have to restore and erect more than four kilometers of roads. They will landscape the surrounding area and replace windows in apartment buildings in the neighborhood. The nearest automobile crossings over the tracks of the Moscow Railways – Moscow Ring Road and Yaroslavskoye Highway – are located three kilometers from the overpass each. The new overpass will improve the transport accessibility of Babushkinsky and Losinoostrovsky Districts of the capital," said Mikhail Grigoriev, CEO of Roads and Bridges JSC.
Installation of the pile footing of overpass retaining walls on both sides of the railway is nearing completion: readiness is 85%. Work is underway to build four of the five pillars – bored piles with a diameter of 1.5 m have been concreted, and pile caps are being concreted.
