During the construction of a new bridge over the Moscow Canal in Dmitrov, NPS specialists concreted 82% of the foundation piles of the future man-made structure.
According to Konstantin Gavrilenko, Project Manager of Mostootryad-90 Branch of Roads and Bridges JSC, 195 of the 238 bored piles have already been installed. Bridge builders use piles with diameters of 1,500 and 800 mm. Only 3 out of 32 bored piles left to be concreted at the base of four pillars of the bridge.
Builders will soon start building slipways for bridge spans, pile caps and pillar bodies. A total of 160 people and 47 pieces of equipment are currently working at the site on the two banks of the canal.
The new two-lane wide bridge will replace the old Rogachevsky two-lane bridge built in the 30s of the last century. According to the design, the old structure will be dismantled and replaced by another two-lane bridge. As a result, the total number of lanes on the two new bridges will reach four, which will significantly improve the traffic in Dmitrov and in the north of Moscow Region as a whole.
