GC NPS, JSC's digital automation will control traffic in the new Yuzhnoye electric depot
Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin commissioned the Yuzhnoye electric depot, which will serve the Zamoskvoretskaya line of the Moscow Metro. The largest depot in Russia will be controlled by digital automation of GC NPS, JSC.
"Yuzhnoye" depot is a technological complex where up to 2.4 thousand cars per year will be serviced. In addition to the newly created facilities, the capacities of the existing repair depot “Brateevo” were included here.
GC NPS, JSC specialists performed the full cycle of works on digitalization of traffic in the depot: equipment supply, construction and commissioning.
At the facility, they implemented the latest MPC-EL microprocessor centralization system, modern power supply units, digital control modules for rail circuits, installed more than 50 switches with electric drives and more than 60 traffic lights. To link all the elements of the system, more than 110 kilometers of cable were laid: this length is enough to connect Moscow and Kolomna.
Digital automation will regulate the operation of switches and traffic lights, monitor equipment parameters, conduct diagnostics and identify pre-failure states. Built-in cyber protection will prevent unauthorized access to the digital equipment.
Commissioning of the Yuzhnoye electric depot will increase the capacity of the Zamoskvoretskaya line: more trains will be able to run here. With the increase in traffic intensity
