The total length of the new 4-lane road section will be 5.8 km. A 1110-meter-long bridge will be built across the Oka River, connecting the settlements of Dubrovichi and Dyadkovo. The bridge crossing will also incorporate a bridge over the Bystrets creek and a grade separation over the road.
All artificial structures of the crossing are scheduled to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2031. Currently, the Ministry of Transport of the Ryazan Region is working on raising additional sources of funding from the federal budget to complete the construction by the end of 2029.
Currently, the only road bridge crossing the Oka River in the Ryazan area was built in 1972 by Mostootryad-22 (now a branch of DiM JSC). The bridge is in pre-emergency condition and cannot handle the increased traffic.
The construction of the new bridge crossing will relieve traffic and improve transportation accessibility of the region.
