Intervals on the MCD-4 are controlled by automation from GC NPS, JSC
MCD-4 has become the first of the diameters where train intervals are fully controlled by digital automation.
For this purpose a number of advanced solutions have been implemented here. Among them is the automatic locomotive signaling system developed and manufactured by Nattsproektstroy companies.
The system allows to organize movement on the line in a traffic lightless format: “digital” in real time monitors track occupancy and train position, transmits signals directly to the cabin.
This minimizes the human factor: the driver's visual load is reduced, it is easier to monitor speed and restrictions, even in bad weather.
The capacity of the line increases: trains can follow each other more closely, and in case of a breakdown, the schedule can be restored more quickly.
In addition, 16 key stations of MDC-4 were equipped with our microprocessor-based centralization MSC-EL to remotely control switches and traffic lights.
Natsproektstroy's digital developments have built-in cyber protection that prevents access to the equipment from external networks.
The interval control technology proposed by Natsproektstroy has already been used on the MCC for several years. It allowed to reduce the waiting time for a train during peak hours from 6 minutes to 4 minutes.
