High-Speed Railway - a project that will be able to support the entire construction industry

The Moscow - St. Petersburg High-Speed Railway is a project that will be able to pull the construction industry forward," said Alexey Krapivin, Head of the National Projectstroy, during SPIEF.
Speaking at the session “Not Just Construction: Infrastructure Financing as a Basis for Economic Growth” he emphasized that the situation in the industry is extremely complicated. Almost 50% of companies involved in infrastructure construction are in pre-bankruptcy. The reasons are a sharp decline in the volume of work due to the high key rate.

Krapivin named the Moscow-St. Petersburg High-Speed Railway - the largest infrastructure project in the country for the last five years - as the project that will be able to support the entire construction industry.

Alexey Krapivin also noted Moscow's positive experience in organizing support measures for construction companies. According to him, Moscow is the only customer where the volume of construction works is maintained today. Thus, advance payment in Moscow exceeds 50% of the contract volume. In addition, the capital has introduced scoring of construction companies, which allows the contractor to obtain financing without spending money on bank guarantees.
