GC NPS, JSC companies modernized the BAM Uktur - Aksaka crossing
In Khabarovsk Krai, Bamstroymekhanizatsiya (part of GC NPS, JSC) built a 7 km kilometer-long second track on the Uktur - Aksaka crossing of the Komsomolsk-on-Amur - Sovetskaya Gavan line. Double-track train traffic was opened on the modernized section.
The railroad here crosses the Sikhote-Alin Ridge, the tracks are squeezed between rocks and the Gur River. To build the second track, mechanics processed more than 400 thousand cubic meters of soil. At the intersection with streams and rivers 3 bridges were built. The longest is a 100-meter bridge over the Nizhnyaya Udomi River. Three culverts were replaced at the site. The new artificial structures are designed for the peculiarities of local rivers, which can rise sharply in heavy rains.
At the Uktur - Aksaka section, signalling, communication and power supply systems were modernized and 21 supports for overhead power lines were installed.
Digital automatics developed and manufactured by GC NPS, JSC companies were introduced on the line. With the help of microprocessor-based centralization MSC-EL it is possible to remotely control traffic: adjust switches and traffic lights, set train routes. Cyber protection is built into the system, which excludes unauthorized access to the digital equipment.
With the opening of the second track at the Uktur - Aksaka crossing, the Aksaka connector was eliminated and trains now run along the united Uktur - Kenai section, which is 21 kilometers long.
The development of the Komsomolsk-on-Amur - Sovetskaya Gavan line will increase its capacity to Pacific ports from 33 to 58 pairs of trains per day.
