NPS is renovating a section of Chuysky Highway in Altai
Transstroymechanizatsiya LLC (part of Natsproektstroy Group) and Altai Federal State Institution of the Federal Road Agency have signed a contract for the renovation and construction of R256 Chuysky Highway section Novosibirsk – Barnaul – Gorno-Altaysk – border with Mongolia. It is there that the main tourist attractions and resorts of the Altai Republic are located.

TSM specialists will make 21 kilometers of the road in the Altai Territory four-lane – a section from 454 to 475 km of the highway; 9 km of the road will be renovated, and another 12 km will be built anew. Interchanges will be built in the area of Souzga and Manzherok settlements. Modern fencing and lighting equipment will be installed on the road.
The contract completion date is the second half of 2029. Federal R-256 Chuysky Highway is part of the Asian Route AN4 Novosibirsk (Russia) –Yarantai (Mongolia) – Urumqi (China) – Karachi (Pakistan). Renovation of the road section will reduce travel time, transportation costs, and strengthen inter-regional and international economic ties.
