In Khabarovsk Krai, GC NPS, JSC companies extended 18 km of the BAM

In Khabarovsk Krai, double-track train traffic was opened on the Khumma - Gurskoye crossing. Modernization of the section between Komsomolsk-on-Amur and Sovgavanyu was performed by Bamstroymekhanizatsiya (part of GC NPS, JSC).
Mechanizers processed 235 thousand cubic meters of soil for the second track. Most of it was used to build the embankment, the height of which reaches 11 meters. At the intersection with the tributaries of the Gur River, 5 culverts laid more than 80 years ago were replaced. New pipes were constructed taking into account the sharp rise of water during precipitation.

Signalling, communication and power supply devices were modernized at the section. 245 supports for high-voltage lines were installed.

Earlier, the companies of GC NPS, JSC modernized the neighboring crossing, Kun - Humma. With the expansion of the line, the need for the Khumma junction was eliminated, and now trains run along the united Kun - Gurskoye section, which is more than 18 kilometers of second tracks.

Modernization of the Komsomolsk-on-Amur-Sovetskaya Gavan line leading to Pacific ports increases its carrying capacity from 43 to 82 million tons of cargo per year.
