The facilities of the next phase of Lavna Coal Transshipment Complex, built by Natsproektstroy Companies in the Murmansk Seaport, have been put into operation.
The local bodies of Rostechnadzor and Rosprirodnadzor have completed the final inspections, as a result of which official documents have been received – a Conformity Report and a Report of the Environmental Supervision Authority. They confirm that the coal transshipment facilities built as part of stage 1.3 meet the approved design documentation, the requirements of the Town Planning Code of the Russian Federation and environmental laws.
Stage 1.3 includes the following facilities:
• railcar unloading station;
• two suction units;
• two transfer stations;
• three conveyor galleries;
• auxiliary facilities.
Together with the previously commissioned facilities of Lavna Coal Transshipment Complex, these facilities provide a cargo turnover of up to 9 million tons of coal per year, which is 50% of the full design capacity of the port.
Since 2021, companies of Natsproektstroy Energy and Ports Division have been designing and building a Coal Transshipment Complex on the western shore of the Kola Bay by order of MTP Lavna LLC and with the participation of GTLK JSC. To date, hydraulic structures, process trains, a sea checkpoint, etc. have been put into operation. In 2026, the builders of Natsproektstroy will have to put into operation the remaining process trains, three coal fields, auxiliary buildings and structures, as well as complete landscaping.
Lavna Coal Transshipment Complex is part of the Murmansk Transport Hub Integrated Development Project, which is being implemented in accordance with the State Transport System Development Program.
